Trust your client or pay upfront?

If you haven’t read through our Krazy blogs lately, you’ll find we’re quite open with the way we work. In some essence is the trust between the clients that we’re able to get if we keep an open honest policy. Though the question arises to business owners and even those in services that can answer the following.

We recently had a client contact us and in all interest wanted to go ahead with us. Though not fully understanding their own project, we were open enough to help them break it down and make sure we’re both on the same page.

Interesting enough, we had got as far as finalising and about to move ahead with the project. Then comes the better part, we didn’t hear back from the client.

We’re not trying to be sore losers and if the client had decided we weren’t the company they were looking for, we’d happily hear it rather than in our eyes, “Hit a dead end road.”

The Trust your client or pay upfront question is simply asking those out their, with the above situation being in your hands, which way would you go.

Would you want your client to pay deposits or costs upfront, or have enough trust and build a long term relationship as their business grows.
